Tell us a bit about your business and its origin story:
Tarnish came from my desire to have my own business and create a new type of motorcycle store with a female perspective. Simple as that. I wanted a place that I wanted to shop at as a woman rider, full stop. We just celebrated 10 years. Over these years we've become a Chicago must-stop for riders. We’ve outfitted countless new riders in the best gear you'll ever want to wear. We’ve fostered a growing women's riding community, had countless ladies bike nights and events AND survived a pandemic. It's been one helluva ride.

Tell us why you chose Atwyld. What are your favorite Atwyld pieces?
I was waiting for Atwyld! When I opened there weren't many lines that fit the vibe I wanted in the store. Atwyld was a PERFECT fit! My current favorite Atwyld piece is the Two Wheels Overall. It's my absolute favorite to ride in. It’s one of my top recommendations to customers.
What is the most rewarding part of your business?
It's the people I've met along the way, 100%. Tarnish would be nothing without them. I am humbled watching the women's moto scene grow, knowing the store played a small part. Our community has come a long, long way since I got my first bike in the mid 90's!
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate - every damn time.
