We Californians are spoiled, there is no doubt about that. You can ride from the beach to the mountains to the desert all in a few hours.
One of my favorite routes takes you through the San Bernardino mountains and down into the Mojave Desert. Complete with all the winding twisting roads and beautiful vistas. It’s the kind of route that you can’t help but pull over often to take it all in.
